Dr. Raney joins Hoag Memorial Hospital Medical Staff with Dr. Douglas Zusman to revitalize its Cardiac Surgery Program. Two years later they successfully establish a recognized cardiac surgical program and initiate a cardiac transplant program. For the subsequent thirty years, Dr. Raney lead this program as medical director of cardiac surgery at Hoag.
